Switching

The smallest migration in the category, by design.

Because the chart stays where it is, this is not an EHR migration. It is a phone number, a lead list, and pointing your forms somewhere new.

What moves

Four things.

The RootLogic patient list with source, stage and last activity for every person
Contacts arrive with their history, deduplicated on a stable identifier. Demonstration data.
  • Contacts and their history, from whatever holds them today
  • The phone number, ported, with you as the owner of record
  • Existing web forms, repointed so submissions land here
  • Open opportunities and quotes, so nothing in flight is lost

The number is the long pole and the only item with a lead time outside our control. Everything else is measured in days.

What usually goes wrong

Four failures, all avoidable.

The import matched on names
Two records for the same person because one said Bob and the other said Robert.
The old form was left live
A page nobody remembers, still posting to the old system. It throws no error and leaks for months.
Both systems ran in parallel
Which means neither did. Parallel running feels safe and guarantees half the staff never move.
Reporting was shown first
An empty chart in week one teaches a practice the product does not work.

The demo tenant is a working RootLogic on demonstration data. Click the pipeline, open a case, read a quote, look at where the revenue came from. No form, no call.
